    Discover the powerful and joyful story of Sr. Thea Bowman, FSPA, an educator, evangelist, and prophetic voice for love, justice, and intercultural understanding within the Catholic Church and beyond. Her spirit touched countless lives, and her cause for canonization is underway, paving the way for her to potentially become one of the first African American saints in Church history.

    An inspirational and vibrant new musical is bringing Sr. Thea's extraordinary life and ministry to the stage March 5th-8th 2026 at COCA in University City! Through song, dance, and dynamic storytelling, this production celebrates her unwavering beliefs, her work for racial harmony, and her enduring message of hope, unity, and peace for all God's people.

    Our Mission: To Bring Sr. Thea Bowman’s Story to St. Louis!

    Become a foundational patron — a “Theatre Angel” — and help bring to St. Louis a dynamic musical production celebrating the life and legacy of the phenomenal Sr. Thea Bowman. We are seeking dedicated patrons — our “Theatre Angels” — to assist in funding this tremendous production.

    Sr. Thea’s life was a testament to faith, resilience, and a commanding voice for justice within the Church. This musical will share her remarkable story, deepening understanding of her legacy and supporting her path to sainthood.

    We need to raise over $40,000 to successfully mount this production in St. Louis.

    About ValLimar

    Dr. ValLimar Jansen is an internationally acclaimed singer, storyteller, and theologian who has performed across five continents, including headlining at Carnegie Hall and receiving the Kennedy Center Medallion for Excellence in Educational Theatre. With a background in theatre and Christian performing arts, she blends music, scripture, and dramatic storytelling in over 100 events annually. A composer, playwright, and retreat leader, Dr. Jansen is also pursuing advanced theological degrees while continuing to inspire audiences worldwide alongside her husband from their home in Southern California.


    About Maria

    A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Maria Vargo is a Hollywood-based actress, singer-songwriter, director, and Christian speaker. She is the president and artistic director of G.K. Chesterton Entertainment, a faith-based, non-profit entertainment company. Maria starred as St. Faustina in a one-woman show, performing over 300 times across America and Canada. A film version of the show is set to be released in the near future. Her passion for music has led to producing an original CD titled Fire Tries Iron, and a Christmas CD titled Coming Home For Christmas.
