    A Passion Play Adapted from the Gospels

    The Last Days: The Passion and Death of Jesus the Christ movingly recreates the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry through His crucifixion and death. Actors/Directors/Writers, Jonathan Roumie (The Chosen) and Maria Vargo (Faustina: Messenger of Divine Mercy), along with a devoted cast of 19 others, performed this play for nearly a decade.

    The live theater performance has been seen by thousands over the years. More recently, this filmed presentation has reached a more extensive audience worldwide with GKCE livestreams and broadcasts on EWTN.

    Jesus

    Jonathan Roumie—actor-director-producer and musician—is best known for his groundbreaking role as Jesus in the popular streaming series The Chosen, the largest crowd-funded media project in history and a global sensation, currently streaming in over 180 countries. His talent for accents and languages has landed him numerous memorable performances, including The Mindy Project, The Good Wife, The Newsroom, Dog With A Blog, Law and Order, and NCIS.

    Maria Vargo

    Mother Mary

    A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Maria Vargo is a Hollywood-based actress, singer-songwriter, director, and Christian speaker. She is the president and artistic director of G.K. Chesterton Entertainment, a faith-based, non-profit entertainment company. Maria starred as St. Faustina in a one-woman show, performing over 300 times across America and Canada. A film version of the show is set to be released in the near future. Her passion for music has led to producing an original CD titled Fire Tries Iron, and most recently a Christmas CD titled Coming Home For Christmas.

    Vincent Giovanni

    Pontius Pilate

    Vincent Giovanni is a first generation Italian American, born and raised in Queens, New York. Vincent most recently played Pontius Pilate in The Last Days. He has previously produced and starred in the short films Fool Proof and Lilly Italy. You can also catch Vincent in Badass, Doll House, Supergirl, Lovesick, and in the upcoming film, The Eucharistic Miracles Movie.

    Danny Roque is an actor known for his work on ER, Dead Badge, and The Portal.

    Brian Rodda

    High Priest

    A cross between Andy Cohen, Neil Patrick Harris, and Graham Norton... Brian Rodda is the consummate entertainer, actor, and host. As a digital influencer, he has become a "go-to" host for some of the hottest red carpets in Hollywood. In 2014, Brian worked with TheStream.TV as the host and producer of Digital Natives: Content Creation's Front Line and Tailor Made with Brian Rodda, where he shot over 60 episodes. In total, Brian has been seen in digital videos totaling over 3+ million views. He is the executive producer and host of the LIVE streaming show, The Brian Rodda Show, where he simultaneously interviews digital and TV/Film stars.

    Nick Shakoour

    Judas Iscariot

    As one of the stars of the Oscar-qualifying, multi-award winning film, Madaran (Mothers), Nick is an actor who’s played an array of characters in film, television, and animation. He has recurred on NBC’s State of Affairs, voiced multiple animated features and interactive games like Top Cat Begins, the popular Dying Light saga, and Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He can also be heard voicing Auntie Uncle and Artichoke, in the Annie-Award-nominated series, Buddy Thunderstruck. Nick’s inspiration to perform was ignited at the age of nine, when his physical education instructor discovered that he could morph in and out of the personas and voices of the faculty along with the student body, and had urged the principal to hold a special assembly where Nick would be able to improvise an hour-long show in front of the entire school. Within a few hours he would take to the stage, where the love of storytelling would take its hold.

    Giavani Cairo

    Giavani Cairo is based in Los Angeles but originally from Livonia, Michigan. He can be seen as a series regular portraying the disciple Thaddeus on the TV series The Chosen. Other TV/film credits include HBO’s Doom Patrol and the film The Color of Time. Giavani is a graduate of Michigan State University.

    Maria Lingbanan

    Mary Magdalene

    Maria Lingbanan is an actor known for her work in Hella 'Bae, The Rebound, and Dust Up.

    Carl Santangelo

    Simon Peter

    Carl Santangelo is a multi-talented actor from Chicago and fine artist utilizing his graces and talents to pay it forward. Carl has been a long-standing cast member of The Last Days and most recently played the Apostle Peter in the passion play.
